Manhattan Beach PD Releases Sketch of Suspected Child Molester

A man in his 40s -- or possibly older -- is believed to have sexually assaulted a boy in Polliwog Park last week.

Police have released a sketch of a man they believe sexually assaulted a boy in a Manhattan Beach park restroom.

The assault took place around 1:30 p.m. Friday at Polliwog Park, 1601 Manhattan Beach Blvd., the Manhattan Beach Police Department reported last week.

The man forced the boy into a bathroom stall, where he fondled the boy’s genitals, officials said.

The suspect is described by the juvenile victim as follows:

  • Male, white, in his 40s, with tan skin (but may be older based on the juvenile’s description)
  • Approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a medium build that is heavier around the midsection
  • Short, straight hair that is mostly gray
  • Wearing dark colored pants and a plain white T-shirt when the crime was committed
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Det. Traci Navarrette of the Manhattan Beach Police Department at tnavarrette@citymb.info
or 310-802-5125.
