MB Detectives Apprehend Suspected Bike Thieves

Detectives find the two suspects unloading bikes from trucks and recover more than the two bikes they were after.

Two Torrance men were arrested on suspicion of grand theft Thursday afternoon by Manhattan Beach Police detectives who found the suspects "literally unloading [conceivably stolen goods] from trucks," said Manhattan Beach Police Department Officer Stephanie Martin.

"They [the suspects] were out stealing bikes and our investigation led to the residence" near 214th Street and Western Avenue, Martin said.

Detectives were responding to a report of two stolen bikes in Manhattan Beach and recovered nine suspected stolen bikes when they apprehended Agustin Arzola, 20, and Carlos Maa, 18.
