Local Man Hit With Child-Sex Charges
Police detectives ask anyone whose child has had contact with Ronald Balmayne, 76, to contact them.
Manhattan Beach resident Ronald Balmayne, 76, has been charged with two counts of committing a lewd act upon a child and one count of sexual exploitation of a child, the Manhattan Beach Police Department said Thursday in a press release. Police, who had begun investigating Balmayne recently, arrested him at his home on July 26. Charges were filed on July 28.
Detectives want to speak with anyone whose child has had contact with Balmayne. The alleged crimes involved three children and reportedly occurred between 1981 and 2002.
