Police Make Arrest in Connection with Manhattan Beach Armed Robbery

The armed robbery took place in a parking lot.

Manhattan Beach police arrested a male teenager Tuesday morning in connection with an armed robbery on Saturday, Dec. 14, said Det. Michael Rosenberger.

The robbery happened around 5:05 p.m. when the robber used a gun to take the victim's wallet and cell phone as he sat in a vehicle in the “lower” Fry’s parking lot at 3600 North Sepulveda Boulevard. 

The 17-year-old from Los Angeles was identified as a suspect from fingerprints lifted by Manhattan Beach Police Department Crime Scene Investigators, as well as Fry’s security video, which recorded the incident.

The suspect was booked at the Manhattan Beach Police Department and transported to Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall, said Rosenberger.
