Police Release Surveillance Video of Crest Drive Burglary Suspects

The two men were seen burgling a home in the 700 block of Crest Drive on Aug. 18.

Manhattan Beach police Wednesday released the surveillance video of two suspects captured on cameras the day a residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of Crest Drive.

The two men are believed to be responsible for the burglary on Aug. 18 and are seen wearing surgical masks, walking from the location, one of them carrying a black plastic trash bag, which appeared to be filled with unknown items, according to police.

One suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, 25- to 30-years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches with a slim build and wearing black capri-style pants, a black sleeveless shirt with white stripes and a black hat. He is the man seen later wearing a surgical mask and carrying a trash bag.

The second suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, 40-something years of age, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with a medium build and wearing black pants, a black T-shirt, light-colored hat, black gloves and surgical mask.

The burglary happened sometime after 12:30 p.m. when the resident left. Upon returning that evening, the victims discovered their front door had been pried open and the home ransacked. Items stolen included jewelry and cash.

The images of the suspects were captured between 3 and 3:30 p.m. the day of the burglary.
