Manhattan Beach residents have encountered burglary suspects in their homes recently.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10:10 a.m., a nanny and children returned to a residence in the 1200 block of 17th Street to find a suspect ransacking the home, according to a police report. The suspect ran out the front door carrying a sack. Several pieces of jewelry were reported stolen. The suspect had removed a window screen and entered through the window which had possibly been left open.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, residents found a suspect standing in the kitchen of their home in the 1300 block of 19th Street around 9:06 p.m. when they returned home. The male suspect fled through the rear door of the home.

Police say the man entered the residence through an unlocked second story window using a ladder stored on the side of the home.
