Robbery and Residential Burglaries in Manhattan Beach

Crimes against people and personal property are happening in Manhattan Beach.

On April 25 around 6:50 p.m. near S. Herrin St. and Ruhland Ave., two black men pushed a female to the ground and took an iPod from her pocket, according to Manhattan Beach Police reports. One of the suspects is described as a male black in his 20s, with a thin build. The other man is described as a male black in his 20s, with a thin build. A vehicle believed to be associated with the crime is reported to be a 4-door white Toyota with tinted windows. 

In terms of residential burglaries, six of them have happened since April 12. A recent one on April 30 happened between 6 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. from April 30th to May 1st in the 2600 block of Elm Ave. Entry was made to the under-construction property through an unlocked door. The crooks stole a television mounting bracket and tools.

On April 27th between 5:30 and 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Marine Ave., burglars entered through an unlocked bedroom window after the exterior window screen had been removed. Computers, iPods, jewelry and other items were stolen.

On April 26th between 3 and 3:05 p.m. in the 1000 block of 10th St., officers responded to a residential burglary alarm. When they arrived, officers noticed a hole had been punched through a side area entrance door to a garage attached to the house. Officers also noticed a screen had been removed and a window was broken. A loss had yet to be confirmed as of May 3rd.

On April 23rd, a burglary took place in the 200 block of 13th Place between 8:30 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. The suspect(s) broke a window on the west side of the residence to gain entry into the house and took jewelry, watches, credit cards, and computer equipment. The suspect(s) then exited through the front door.

Sometime between April 12th and 23rd between 6 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., suspect(s) forced open a second-story window to gain entry and then ransacked the house, located in the 200 block of Anderson St. Cameras and camera equipment were taken. The suspect(s) exited through the back sliding glass door.

Sometime between April 4th and April 5th from 12 noon to 12 noon in the 800 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd., unknown suspect(s) cut a lock off a shed located in the lower part of the building in the parking garage. Stolen were a microderm and facial machine, wood flooring, household appliances, salon products, iPhone holders, salon jewelry and miscellaneous items.
