School District Worker Held in Sex Crimes

Manhattan Beach resident Christopher Wayne Gray remains in custody after his arrest Wednesday on suspicion of having unlawful intercourse with a minor, reportedly a Mira Costa High School student.

Manhattan Beach resident Christopher Wayne Gray, 27, has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful intercourse and lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, among other charges. The minor reportedly is a Mira Costa High School student.

Gray, who is an instructional assistant with the Manhattan Beach Unified School District, was arrested Wednesday and remained in custody as of early Thursday morning, according to Manhattan Beach Police Public Information Officer Stephanie Martin.

The alleged crime was reported to MBPD on Tuesday. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this case or others that may involve Gray to call them at 310-802-5120.
