Stabbing at Baja Sharkeez

The case remains unsolved.

A stabbing incident in Baja Sharkeez at 1:33 a.m. Nov. 11 remains unsolved and police are closing the investigation pending further leads, said MBPD Detective Mike Rosenberger Thursday.

The stabbing occurred when two males got into an argument and one punched the other, said Det. Rosenberger, who said the cry, "This is Inglewood, Mother xxxxxx!" was made. The stabbing victim did not realize he'd been stabbed until someone pointed out he was bleeding.

The stabbing victim was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment of a laceration and released. Det. Rosenberger said the man, who lives in Texas, told him Thursday he is doing OK.

The suspect, who fled the restaurant with others, is described as a bald and chubby male Hispanic in his mid to late 20s. No one saw a vehicle they could associate with the crime and video did not provide sufficient details for the suspect to be identified, said Det. Rosenberger.
