MB Police Recover Stolen Bikes

Thieves targeted Manhattan Beach and some of their haul remains unclaimed. Call the MBPD if your bike is missing. They may have it.

If your bicycle went missing late on Aug. 1 or early the morning of Aug. 2, the Manhattan Beach Police Department may have it.

Officers pulled over a pickup truck full of bikes that was driving slowly in a residential area without its headlights on around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The suspects told investigators that they used bike cutters to take the bikes the night before and that morning in Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach, said MBPD Detective Andrew Enriquez.

Officers recovered six bikes and other property, said Public Information Officer Stephanie Martin in a press release. One victim of the bike thefts has been identified.
