Suspected Pier 1 Robbers in Court Today

The two Hawthorne men who allegedly attempted to rob the Pier 1 Imports store in Manhattan Beach Sunday night are being arraigned in Torrance Superior Court Wednesday.

The two Hawthorne residents suspected of kidnapping a Pier 1 Imports store manager when they allegedly tried to rob the Manhattan Beach store are expected to be arraigned in Torrance Superior Court today.

Edwin Davis, 25, and Deangelo Cal, 24, have been held on $100,000 bail in the Manhattan Beach jail since their capture Sunday night, according to MBPD Public Information Officer Stephanie Martin.
