Unusual Service at Tin Roof Bistro Thursday Night

It's not too late to RSVP for the special fundraising event, Tip-A-Cop, being held Thursday night at Tin Roof Bistro.

The event marks the second time the Manhattan Beach Police Department has participated in Tip-A-Cop, which raises funds for Special Olympics.

"The more, the merrier," said Officer Stephanie Martin, who will join a diverse police department line-up at Tin Roof for the night. "We appreciate the support."

Police Chief Eve R. Irvine, captains, lieutenants, sergeants, patrol officers, parking staff, animal control staff and administrative staff are expected to be on hand to help Tin Roof Bistro's wait staff give diners a unique experience.

Last year's inaugural event for the police department saw them raise more than $29,000 in one night, breaking the record for the most raised in one Tip-A-Cop event in Southern California.
