Women Wanted for Questioning in Wallet Theft, Fraud

Police want to locate two women they believe may be involved in a wallet theft.

Two women are wanted for questioning by police for their role in the theft of a wallet and subsequent purchase using a credit card from the wallet.

Manhattan Beach Police say video surveillance from the Best Buy store on Sepulveda Boulevard in El Segundo shows two women who enter the store and purchase an Apple MacBook with a credit card from a wallet stolen the same day.

The wallet was stolen from the victim's purse as she shopped in Trader Joe's, 1800 Rosecrans Ave., on Oct. 10.

The suspects also purchased two Cartier sunglasses at Stein Optometric Center in Manhattan Village and $120 worth of cigarettes at Vons Supermarket, 410 Manhattan Beach Blvd. The two women were said to have been portraying a mother and daughter relationship to store employees.
