Abandoned Mother Dog Available

The female who recently gave birth was left tied to a spigot in a front yard. Now she's needs a good home and will be available for adoption on Friday, April 20.

Someone tied dog that vets estimate is about a year old and had puppies just a week ago to a spigot in the front yard of a residence in the 100 block of 2nd Street last night. Manhattan Beach animal control took custody of the abandoned dog and is looking for a good home for the dog.

The dog, who loves to cuddle, according to animal control, is healthy, per a vet's examination, has fabulous teeth and is just a little thin. She didn't have a collar, tag or microchip when found and officials don't know what happened to her litter.

Email Erin Lovejoy of The Lovejoy Foundation for adoption information.
