Charging Stations: MB 1, Hermosa Beach 4

Hermosa Beach has four new electric vehicle charging stations and is allowing free charging for a limited time.

As Hermosa Beach prepares to decide how much users of the city's four new electrical vehicle charging stations should pay, EV drivers will want to know of the lone charging station in Manhattan Beach, in the parking lot on Sepulveda Boulevard.

Part of the ChargePoint Network, the Walgreens station is available to people who have an activated ChargePoint card.

The HB stations, which "didn't get the proper send off," according to HB Mayor Jeff Duclos, were installed in the HB city hall parking lot and on the 300 block of Pier Avenue.

For now, the city is offering two hours of free charging. The HB City Council will discuss how much users should pay to charge their EV at its May 22nd council meeting.

Duclos said that the charging stations have been in the works for approximately three years.
