City May Boot City Manager Monday

City Manager David Carmany could be dismissed from his position Monday when City Council holds a closed session meeting to discuss his employment, according to an online agenda. 

Carmany was hired by the city in December of 2010 on a three-year contract that began on Jan. 10, 2011. The contract has an "evergreen" clause in which either party must give 12 months notice in writing of the intent to terminate the contract or it is automatically extended for another year.

Neither City Council nor Carmany delivered notice to terminate the contract this past January, automatically extending it until Jan. 10, 2015. 

The meeting will take place in council chambers, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 1400 Highland Ave., according to the city website.
