Health Department Restaurant Closures

Mr. Pockets in Manhattan Beach is the city's latest restaurant to be closed by the county Health Department. Chong's in Hermosa Beach was closed, too, as were two El Segundo businesses. No eatery in Redondo Beach was closed within the reported period of t

at 516 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach is the most recent of the city's restaurants closed by the Los Angeles County Health Department. The business was closed on March 29 for "No potable water supply or no hot water," according to the county website that lists such closures, and re-opened on March 30.

In Hermosa Beach,  was closed for vermin infestation on March 8 and re-opened on March 10. Chong's straddles the HB/MB border at 2516 Pacific Coast Highway, #3.

Moving south, no Redondo Beach eateries in either of the city's two zip codes have been closed within the recordkeeping timeframe of Jan. 6, 2012 through April 6.

North of MB, two El Segundo businesses were shuttered for "sewage" on March 29, with Subway Sandwiches at 630 North Sepulveda Boulevard, 2B, re-opening the same day and Quizno's at 2041 Rosecrans Avenue re-opening on March 30.
