Is Hillary Clinton on 2016 Presidential Campaign Trail?

The former Secretary of State is making the rounds in Los Angeles at a variety of events. Is she testing the waters?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, will headline a Beverly Hills fundraiser Wednesday in support of Virginia gubernatorial hopeful Terry McAuliffe -- the first in a series of Southland appearances for the former first lady.

Tickets for the luncheon cost $15,000 a person or $25,000 for a couple, according to the website politicalpartytime.org, which tracks political fundraisers across the country. The event will be hosted by media giant Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl.

McAuliffe, a friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton and former head of the Democratic National Committee, is making his second run for governor. He is running against Republican Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

Clinton is widely viewed as a strong contender for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, although she has yet to commit to another run for the White House. She will be making a round of appearances in Southern California over the next week, perhaps testing the strength of her fundraising ties with the Hollywood elite.

She is expected to appear at a Nov. 6 fundraiser at the Exchange in downtown Los Angeles hosted by the "Ready for Hillary" political action committee, which is urging Clinton to make another presidential bid.

On Nov. 8, she will speak at a gala for the International Medical Corps at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, with tickets costing as much as $100,000. Among those hosting that event are Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg.

The following day, Clinton will be honored at USC by the Mexican American Leadership Initiative, a group committed to improving relations between the United States and Mexico.
