Holiday Open House Full of Merriment

Kids, adults, reindeer, Councilman Wayne Santa Powell, council members and city officials got in the spirit during the festive activities that launched the holiday season in downtown MB.

For three hours Wednesday night, kids and adults got into the hustle, bustle and chill of the holiday season as downtown Manhattan Beach came alive with a trio of annual events: the holiday pier lighting, a toy drive and open house.

City Council members were on hand enjoying the festivities, with Councilman Wayne Powell playing Wayne Santa Powell and Councilwoman Amy Howorth having fun as Amy Ho Howorth. Mayor Nick Tell switched on the pier lights to officially kickoff the MB holiday season.

Merchants offered special sales and refreshments, entertainers sang and played music, and reindeer made a special appearance at a petting zoo.
