Rep. Waxman to Attend Veterans Day Ceremony in Manhattan Beach
Manhattan Beach is staging its annual tribute to veterans.
Rep Henry A. Waxman will participate in a Veterans Day ceremony in Manhattan Beach Monday. The free public event begins at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Monument in Manhattan Beach, sited on the greenbelt in Veterans Park where 15th Street, Valley Drive and Ardmore Avenue meet near the post office, fire station downtown and Joslyn Center.
“On Veterans Day, we remember the heroic contributions veterans have made to our country,” said Waxman. “I appreciate the opportunity to spend Veterans Day with our veterans and their families and to thank them for their service to our nation. Our veterans sacrifice much to protect our country, and we must do our part to keep our promises to them.”
Monday's event is the 16th Annual Veterans Day event in the city.
