Road Work on Valley/Ardmore Begins Monday

Two heavily traveled roads in Manhattan Beach, near the Hermosa Beach border, will be impacted by pavement work.

Drivers are advised to avoid stretches of Valley Drive and Ardmore Avenue that will be worked on beginning Monday, according to the city website.

The road work is expected to reduce each roadway to one lane with intermittent closures as needed to grind down existing asphalt followed by the placement of new rubberized asphalt pavement.

The work will happen on Ardmore from Duncan Avenue in the south to Manhattan Beach Boulevard; on Valley, the work will be from Longfellow Avenue to First Street.

The road work is expected to take place Monday through Friday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

Parking will not be allowed on the roads under construction, according to the city website.
