Manhattan Beach's Top 5 Sales Tax Generators in First Quarter

Manhattan Beach realizes a sizable gain in sales tax revenue for January through March of 2012, according to Hdl Companies. What stores do you think are the city's top performers?

Sales tax revenue in Manhattan Beach increased for the first quarter of 2012 compared to 2011 statistics for the same time period, according to a report released by the city manager.

January through March sales receipts in 2012 were 10.1 percent higher than in 2011.

Published by Hdl Companies, the report lists the city's top 25 sales tax revenue producers. They are: Apple Store, Arco, Barnes & Noble, BevMo, California Pizza Kitchen, Chevron, Circle K, CVS Pharmacy, Dewitt Petroleum, Frys Electronics, Houston's, Macys, Manhattan Beach Marriott, Manhattan Beach Toyota Scion, Office Depot, Old Navy, Olive Garden, Pottery Barn, REI, Sephora, Skechers, The Strand House, Target, Tin Roof Bistro and Trader Joes.

With adjustments for aberrations, taxable sales increased 8.4 percent for Los Angeles County during the same time period and Southern California was up 8.1 percent.
