Before that stage of the process, though, eligible voters can cast their vote, if they haven't already done so by mail or in person at the city clerk's office, at their polling place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk lets you input the street number of your address and your street's name (no avenue, street, drive, court, designation necessary) to get the address of your polling place.

City Clerk Liza Tamura told Patch Tuesday that she had mailed 6,993 vote-by-mail ballots and received 2,733 that were either hand delivered or mailed to her office.
