The 40-year-old basketball player made waves earlier this month when he said he won't retire. But at least we know where he'll retire TO when the time comes.

Manhattan Beach, you have a new neighbor. And you can be sure about one thing ... he's honest.

Steve Nash, the oldest player in the NBA, said earlier this month that he would not retire from the Lakers this year because he has another year on his contract and he wants the money.

And then just this week, he spent some of that money on a 4,175-square-foot house just two blocks from the sand in Manhattan Beach, reports TMZ.

The LakersNation website just put up photos, if you're into that kind of thing.

But look quickly. According to TMZ, Nash plans to raze the whole thing.

"It's super ugly and outdated," says the gossipy website.

Nash reportedly paid about $4.8 million.
