THIS EVENT IS BEING HELD AT INTERNATIONAL GARDEN CENTER AT 155 N. Sepulveda Blvd., El Segundo.

 
This workshop will provide a comprehensive look at what it takes to be successful in your organic edible garden: 

• Soil management 
• What to plant & where: siting warm season plants properly
• Organic planting strategies 
• Organic fertilizing 
• Organic pest control
• Tour of the edible section of nursery with tips on picking a healthy plant 
• Hands-on Segment: Planting the demo garden: 
  • How to direct sow seeds and transplant correctly 
  • Planting using companion planting (aka Bio-intensive Method)
  • Using raised beds and containers 
  • Tips on selecting organic soil mixes or mixing your own
  • Drip irrigation

• a light buffet brunch provided by Four Daughters Kitchen in Manhattan Beach served in the garden pavillon before class featuring sparkling water infused with botanicals and edibles (you'll take home recipes too!)
