Manhattan Beach Youngsters Schooled by Raytheon Engineers
Middle and elementary school students participated in the company's Engineer Week at its facilities in El Segundo.
Engineer Week got off to a great start on Monday as more than 200 students from Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Culver City, Calabasas and others visited Raytheon in El Segundo to view and participate in interactive demonstrations given by Raytheon engineers.
The middle and elementary school students also had the opportunity to compete in a math competition, with the winner receiving a commemorative Raytheon medallion.
Raytheon will host a similar event for high school students on Wednesday and college students on Friday at the same location, the company’s space and airborne systems facility.
