MCHS Boys Beat No. 2 Team in Nation

Punahou was ranked No. 2 nationwide in the third weekly ESPN boys volleyball poll. Mira Costa was No. 4 in the same poll.

The Mira Costa boys volleyball team took down Punahou Saturday night in Hawaii, 25-19, 15-25, 25-14, 25-17, according to scoringlive.com.

The victory practically ensures that the MCHS team will gain ground in ESPN's Powerade Fab 50 weekly poll which lists the top high school boys volleyball teams nationwide. In the latest poll, MCHS was ranked No. 4; Punahou No. 2.

MCHS' rival Loyola High has held the No. 1 spot in each of the poll's three weeks; Mira Costa has moved from No. 6 in week one to No. 4 in week three of the poll.
