Austin, Binkow to Speak at MCHS Graduation
The Class of 2012 will be awarded diplomas in Waller Stadium Thursday. Patch plans to be there taking photos for a gallery.
Seniors Charley Binkow and Mackenzie Austin will deliver speeches at the Mira Costa High School Class of 2012 graduation Thursday in Waller Stadium, according to the school's newspaper, La Vista. Senior Class President Trent Fuji will also will give a speech as part of his duties. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
“I’m really excited to attempt to capture and represent the sentiment of the graduating class,” Binkow said, as reported by La Vista News Editor Shaylyn Austin.
Austin and Binkow were selected by a committee made up of teachers, counselors and students, according to the La Vista article.
