Mira Costa Set to Debut Classic Musical
Students and staff rehearse the 1964 Broadway hit, "Fiddler on the Roof," before this Friday's opening.
The Mira Costa High School drama department is putting the final touches on "Fiddler on the Roof," a classic musical set in 1905 Russia. Around 130 students are committed to the play about a Jewish community coping with traditions and eviction.
"Its messages, themes and music are still contemporary even to what's happening in our world today," said director and drama instructor Carol Mathews.
"Fiddler on the Roof" features lively numbers, bottle-balancing and plenty of other surprises.
