School Board Candidates Forum Wednesday

Four candidates are vying for three seats on the school board in Manhattan Beach.

The four candidates vying for three school board seats in the November election are scheduled to participate in a forum Wednesday night at Mira Costa High School.

Ellen Rosenberg is the lone incumbent seeking re-election. She is joined in the race by community volunteer Jennifer Cochran, retired financial analyst Christine Cronin-Hurst and attorney Kathleen Paralusz.

Incumbents Penny Bordokas and Ida VanderPoorte opted not to seek re-election.

The forum is sponsored by the PTA Council and League of Women Voters and will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the school's auditorium at 1401 Artesia Blvd.
