Walking School Bus Gets Started

Parents and school officials hope it's the beginning of more walking.

A few dozen students and parents walked to school Monday morning to kick off an effort to get more healthy.

Called the Walking School Bus, students and parents as well as school officials, along with an accompanying school bus cut-out, walked from 35th Street and Agnes Road to American Martyrs and Grand View schools.

A Walking School Bus is considered to be a group of children walking to school with two or more parents.
