Another Day for Small Wave Gear

The small energy continues with knee to waist high waves and an occasional decent shoulder to snag.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's looking like another day of fairly small energy out there, so you'll definitely want to ride a small wave board of some sort!

The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with some spots already seeing some texture or even light bump on the water. Taking a look at the waves, we have a minimal mixture of northwest energy and some weaker south southwest swell.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand with some crumbly textured lines, with a few decent shoulders to snag. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with the top combo breaks seeing an occasional plus set.

Taking a look at the tides, at 5:51 this morning the tide climbed up to a 3.3 high and then drops to a 1.3 low at 11:38 later this morning and then pushes up once again to a 4.7 high at 6:23 this evening, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

If you're going to get wet, throw on a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 59 and 61 degrees. Good luck out there!
