Baseball Game Was Out of Sight

Unable to see each other—or the ball—players of Saturday's game will face off again in a redo.

Saturday's Mira Costa baseball game against Loyola was called late in the fourth inning as a "fog out."

"Every time Loyola had a hit, our outfielders just kind of put their gloves out and prepared to get smacked with a ball," said Mira Costa Athletic Director Paula Spence. "At one point it was so foggy, the short stop lost sight of the center fielder."

Though the Loyola coach tried to contest it, said Spence, the game will be played over from the start at a date yet to be determined.
