Little League Jr. All Stars Winless in World Series

The Manhattan Beach baseball team will try to break its three-game series losing streak Wednesday at 2 p.m. Link for live action below.

The Manhattan Beach Little League All Stars have suffered two more loses in the Little League Junior World Series in Taylor, Michigan and will attempt to get their first series win Wednesday at 2 p.m. against a North Canton, Ohio, squad that represents the United States Central region. The MB team is representing the West.

Monday night, in a steady sprinkle, the MB boys gave up 11 runs in the final inning against a Texas team that tromped them 16-2. The Oil Belt Little League team is from Corpus Christi.

Tuesday they lost a close one 8-7 against a team form Rockledge, Florida, representing the Southeast. Reese Alexiades, Jackson Michalski and Will Proctor each hit in two runs, and Blake Hammerstein had one RBI in the loss.

Team members are Alexiades, Matt Beserra, Tommy Bothwell, Zack Chan, Brett Davis, Trevor Franklin, Hammerstein, Ryan May, Michalski, Rollie Nichols, Proctor, Hunter Tiedemann and Robert White.

The team is managed by Ira Smith and coached by Keith Ramsey and Jeff Proctor.
