Manhattan Beach Baseball Team to Play for Regional Championship and Spot in World Series

The Manhattan Beach Senior League All-Stars will attempt on Tuesday to avenge their Friday night loss to a Pearl City, Hawaii team to claim the regional championship and a berth in the Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine. Game time Tuesday is 6 p.m. at Jay Littleton Ballpark in Ontario.

The Manhattan Beach team decisively beat a Montana team 13-2 Monday to earn a spot in the championship game. On Sunday, the boys defeated a Washington state team 4-2, and on Saturday they whipped Chino 11-1.

The team's only loss in the regional tournament came at the hands of the Hawaii team Friday night with a score of 14-4.

Manhattan Beach has racked up a 6-1 record in the Little League Baseball Western Regional Senior Tournament going into Tuesday's game against Hawaii.

Players on the Manhattan Beach team include Adam Reinart, Luke McCauley, Jackson Michalski, Will Proctor, Cole Riddle, Rhett Rudnicki, Blake Hammerstein, Brett Davis, Hunter Tiedemann, Reese Alexiades, Logan Pollack, Trevor Franklin and Robert White.
