Monday Wave Check

Back to small mode!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report.  Well, this is by far the smallest surf we've seen along this stretch of coast in a while.  Yep, there's not much happening out there today!

The conditions are starting off fairly clean, but some spots are seeing some texture on the surface.  We've got a very minimal mix of remnant northwest swell and a hint of southwesterly energy in the water.

That recipe is making for some pretty weak and crumbly sectiony lines, with a few that'll get you going on a log.  Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to thigh high, with the focal points pulling a few waist high sets.

At 5:40 this morning the tide pushed way up to a 5.5 high which will have some spots a bit full or even shut-off early on.  The tide then drains out to a negative 0.6 low at 1:07 this afternoon.

If you're itching for a salt water bath...then throw on at least a 3/2 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Good luck out there!!
