Mostly Small Energy and Small Waves

Small wave gear may be the ticket today.

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, you're not going to find much size along this stretch of sand. Overall, most of this area is hanging in that small size range.

It's mostly clean and glassy from the start, with a mixture of energy in the water. We're seeing a touch of leftover northwest wind and groundswell and some south southwest energy which doesn't seem to be showing up much in this neck of the woods.

That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly sectiony lines, with a few fun corners with the small wave gear. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with the top combo breaks pulling a few plus sets.

Taking a look at the tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, at 5:01 this morning it dropped to a 0.0 low which will have some spots in need of some water early to mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 3.7 high at 11:13 later this morning and then drops once again to a 1.5 low at 4:27 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, well, that water temperature has climbed up quite a bit, so you'll need no more than a 3/2 full, with it averaging between 61 and 62 degrees. See ya in the water!
