Nice Waves Mean Good Surfing

The surf remains fairly sizable!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, our run of fairly sizable surf is sticking around for another day. So, get out there and grab some of the action!

The conditions are pretty clean from the start, with a mixture of some modest holding west northwest swell and some very minimal residual south southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering some fast semi-walled lines, with some nice wedgy scattered shoulders to snag. Most spots in Manhattan Beach are running about waist to head high, with the top combo breaks pulling a few overhead sets.

Taking a look at those tides thanks t0 the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration...at 7:11 a.m it pushed way up to a 5.5 high which is going to have many spots pretty swamped and a little inconsistent early to mid-morning. Your best bet is once that tide drops a bit, eventually draining out to a negative 0.7 low at 2:03 p.m.

If you're going get in the water, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit or maybe a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!!
