Defending Manhattan Beach Open champions Sean Scott (Redondo Beach), John Hyden (Sherman Oaks), Whitney Pavlik (Laguna Beach) and Jenny Kropp (Hollyglen, Calif.) repeated history as they took home the win for a second year in a row Sunday at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
The beach volleyball tournament is considered one of the biggest tournaments of the year and is often referred to as the "Wimbledon of beach volleyball." Winners of both the men's and women's divisions will have their names engraved onto a plaque and permanently cemented into the Manhattan Beach Pier.
