Small Energy Means Fun Small Waves

Grab a log and have some fun in the water!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's continuing to fade away, so you'll definitely want to get out the small wave gear.

The conditions are mostly clean or light offshore early on, with a combination of some very minor remnant west northwest energy and a touch of southwesterly swell in the mix.

That recipe is making for some fast drained out sectiony lines, with a few fun ones on a log or something really thick and wide. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to thigh high, with the focal points pulling waist high waves, with maybe a plus set if you're lucky!

At 6:15 this morning the tide dropped to a 0.3 low which will definitely have many spots lacking water early on. The tide then climbs back up to a 3.7 high at 12:13 this afternoon, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 full or a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
