Snag Some Nice Shoulders Today

Fading energy, but still fun.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, the waves are backing down, but you can still find some fun size surf at those top combo breaks.

The conditons are nice and glassy early on, with a combination of energy. We're seeing less of the west northwest energy today and more south southwest swell in the water. That recipe is offering some crumbly sectiony lines, with some nice shoulders to snag.

Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to waist high, with those focal points pulling a few belly high sets.

Taking a look at those tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, at 8:23 this morning, the tide pushes up to a 4.7 high which will have many spots pretty slow and kinda mushy early to mid-morning. Things should improve a bit once that tide turns around and eventually drops to a 0.3 low at 2:38 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!
