Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you like it pretty small and you don't mind some texture or bump on the surface, then it might be worth getting wet, but otherwise I wouldn't make it a priority to paddle!
As far as the surf goes, we're seeing mainly residual south southwest swell and some pretty minimal northwest windswell in the water. That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some fairly weak and crumbly sectiony lines, with a few decent ones.
Most Manhattan Beach spots are hanging in that knee to waist high range, with the top combo breaks pulling the occasional bigger one.

Taking a look at the tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, at 7:48 this morning, it drains to a negative 0.5 low, which will have most spots lacking water throughout mid-morning. Your best bet is to go out once that tide fills in. It eventually climbs up to a 3.4 high at 2:43 this afternoon.
If you're itching for a salt water bath, you can throw on a 3/2 fullsuit, with the water temperature feeling fairly comfortable and averaging between 58 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!
