Tuesday Surf Report

A good day for the groms!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report.  Well, it's looking like a good day for the kids.  Yep, we're still seeing some fairly small energy out there.

The conditions are starting off pretty clean and glassy, but with the latest storms expected to come into play over the next couple of days, this could be the last clean day for a little while.

We've got a minimal combination of west northwest energy and a tad of southerly swell in the water.  That recipe is offering some kinda crumbly and soft lines, with a few workable shoulders to pick off.  Look for things to improve as that tide drops later in the day, providing the wind doesn't pick up.

Most Manhattan Beach spots are seeing ankle to thigh-high waves, with the standout spots pulling waist-high waves, with maybe a plus set if you're lucky.

Taking a look at those tides according the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  At 6:29 this morning the tide pushed way up to a 5.9 high, which will have many spots pretty swamped or even shut down early to mid morning.  The tide then drains out to a negative 1.0 low at 1:41 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 full or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 58 degrees.  See ya in the water!
