Wave Conditions Just So-So for Surfing

It's looking pretty fair out there.

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's looking pretty fair out there. Yep, there's not much size and those conditions are starting off kinda crummy.

There's some texture or bump on it, with just a small amount of energy in the water. We've got mostly northwest wind and groundswell and not much south southwest energy on tap today.

That recipe is providing some crumbly and bumpy lines, with maybe a few scattered shoulders that'll let you squeeze in a turn or two. Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee to waist high plus, with the standout breaks pulling stomach high waves, with not much more than that.

Taking a look at the tides thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, at 5:50 this morning the tide pushed up to a 4.6 high, which will have some spots pretty full and slow early on. The tide then drains out to a 0.0 low at 12:39 this afternoon.

If you're really in need of a salt water bath, then you'll want to wear that 4/3 fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temp taking another dip and averaging between 55 and 56 degrees. Good luck out there!
