Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, it's about time for a wake-up call! Yep, we're looking at some pretty small and weak surf along this stretch of sand.
The conditions are fairly clean and glassy early on, with a combo of mostly minor southerly swell and some very minimal leftover west northwest energy in the water . That recipe is providing some kinda crumbly sectiony lines, with a few workable ones, with the small wave gear.
Most Manhattan Beach spots are running about knee high, with those focal points pulling some thigh high waves, with a few waist high sets.

Taking a look at those tides, thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration...at 6:37 this morning the tide dropped to a 1.0 low, which is going to have many spots needing water early to mid-morning. Your best bet is waiting for the tide to fill in a bit, as it eventually pushes up to a 2.6 high at 12:40 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a quick session, you'll want to wear that thicker fullsuit and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 55 and 56 degrees. Good luck out there!
