Chevron Grand Prix Caters to Kids
They may be last on the schedule to race, but they sure do have fun! See if you recognize any of these young riders who raced at the 51st Annual Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix Sunday.
The legendary Chevron Manhattan Beach Grand Prix isn't just for adults; the kids get to have their races, too, and even though, the kids' races are last on the schedule, young riders certainly enjoy them!
Founded by racing legend Ted Ernst in 1962, the 51st incarnation of the annual elite cycling competition, held Sunday, welcomed all levels of racers, from the very young to experienced professional competitors.
Kids were awarded medals and Chevron toy cars for competing and $21,500 in prize money was awarded to the winners of the adult categories.

The Chevron Grand Prix is the nation's second-oldest, one-day bicycle race. The race's home base was Live Oak Park.
