MB Youth Wins Home Run Derby at Little League Junior World Series

Two boys from Manhattan Beach Little League send balls flying over the outfield fence in Taylor, Michigan. Find out who took first and how the other lad hit hard to follow the winner into prime position.

Reese Alexiades of Manhattan Beach won the Little League Junior World Series Home Run Derby Saturday, hitting four home runs on five swings before the championship game between Aruba and Florida began.

Will Proctor of MB finished in a second place tie, slugging three home runs. He then won a four-way playoff, clearing the fence with two more home runs on three swings.

Reese and Will each won mini-DVD players for their efforts.

Junior Little Leaguers on teams from Mexico, Chinese Taipei, Canada, Texas, New York and Manhattan Beach participated. Each team played in the Junior World Series, held in Taylor, Michigan, after winning their respective region.
