Manhattan Beach Welcomes New Cultural Arts Manager Anisa Hamdan
Manhattan Beach, CA (June 5, 2013) — The City of Manhattan Beach has hired Anisa Hamdan as its Cultural Arts Manager. In her new role, Ms. Hamdan will develop, enhance, and administer the City’s renowned cultural arts program. Ms. Hamdan comes to Manhattan Beach with over 13 years of experience in operations, program development, production, and cultural arts management positions across Los Angeles.
“Anisa Hamdan brings an impressive background and hands on experience to our Cultural Arts Program,” said Manhattan Beach City Manager David Carmany. “With her background and degree from the UCLA School of Theatre, Film & Television, she will make a great addition to our Cultural Arts team, and we are looking forward to the new insights and ideas she’ll bring to the table adding a new level of excitement to the program.”
The mission of the Cultural Arts Program in Manhattan Beach is to fulfill the cultural needs of the community with a broad range of events and activities that provide a place for the arts. The Cultural Arts Program provides programs for all ages, including art classes, lectures about art, concerts and dance performances, the placement of Art in Public Places, theater productions, exhibitions, visual art camps and classes, and various performing arts classes and camps.
