Resident Produces Disaster Preparedness Radio Shows

George Butts, a Manhattan Beach resident and president of MB Community Emergency Response Team Association, has been engaging listeners on Blog Talk Radio Fridays at 7 a.m. with tips for and information about being prepared for a disaster.

Manhattan Beach resident George Butts has once again put his emergency preparedness skills to work, using his knowledge and connections to co-host and produce a series of online radio shows on disaster preparedness.

The "Preparing for Disaster in the South Bay" series of online radio shows on Blog Talk Radio aired Fridays at 7 a.m. The first program aired on Friday, April 6; the last on Friday, May 4. The series is available online.

Butts, who is president of the Manhattan Beach Community Emergency Response Team Association, joined Joe Terry and CERT graduate Jackie Balestra to discuss disaster preparedness with experts. He also appeared on the show to talk about MBCERTA on Friday, March 6
