Manhattan Marketplace Hosts Spark of Love Event
Local businesses and volunteers have fun while collecting toys for underserved children.
AYSO team champions from Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach helped gather the generous number of donated toys during Manhattan Marketplace's Spark of Love Toy Drive Saturday, Dec. 17. The unwrapped gifts put into boxes placed in Manhattan Beach Marketplace businesses.
The all-day event was full of fun for those who braved the rain to join in the holiday spirit to partake of give-aways, face painting sponsored by European Wax Center and samples from Johnny Rockets. Visitors wrote and sent letters to Santa via AIM Mail Center.
The Spark of Love Toy Dirve is in its 19th year and is staged by ABC7 and firefighters from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties, along with the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
